2008 Concert

Rehearsal for The Mikado began in early January. Concert dates: Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11, 2008 at Delaware Technical and Community College, Georgetown.

City of Lewes Announces Grant

August 21, 2007: a $500 grant has been received from the City of Lewes Town Council. Thank you!

DDOA Announces Grant

July 3, 2007: the Delaware Division of the Arts has awarded the Southern Delaware Choral Society a General Operating Support grant in the amount of $2,760, approved for each year of a two-year cycle. The Society was praised by the grant panel for its "high quality artistic offerings…good outreach and very far-reaching…the strategic plan [ and its] tracking format showing progress notes [and] that the income and expenses were shared in the newsletter." The comment sheet contained no negative comments or suggestions for improvement. This marks the 25th consecutive year that we have received DDOA underwriting.

2007-2008 Grant Announced

The Carl M. Freeman Foundation has announced that the Southern Delaware Choral Society is the recipient of a 2007-08 F.A.C.E.S. grant in the amount of $1000 to help fund the hiring of professional soloists for the December 2007 performance of Handel's Messiah. June 2007
